THESE ARE STEPS FOR A BUSINESS NAME BE REGISTERED IN NIGERIA
(1) You should choose a business name for yourself ,make sure you decide carefully on what business name registration .
Its best for you to go for that are similar to the services you will like to
render and products you want to sell.
(2) Go to the corporate affairs commission office to apply.
After choosing the right business name the next thing is to go to the corporate affairs commission
where you will be given a business name search form (form 008) to fill.You will have to pay
250 naira for the form you are suppose to fill to fill but the amount may change with time ,The reason for this form is to
know if your business name is available .Fill in your details on the form as instructed , if anything on the form is not
clarification after filling the form properly you can submit it.
(3) Then after the name check and your business name is available then you proceed by collecting
a registration of business form (form 001) which you will pay for and filling the form you would
be required to pay the sum of ten thousand naira (10,000 naira) and then collect a form for
attestation and affidavit after which you can go to any court to pay a sum of 500 naira for the court magistrate
endorsement.
(4) Then now you can now collect your business name certificate of registration form the CAC
and you are done registering your business in Nigeria.
