(1) Petroleum jelly- 1kg
(2) Linden or shear butter -20 to 50 gram
(3) Paraffin oil – 50cl
(4)Paraffin candle wax
(5) Colorant (oil colorant)
(6) Aromatic
(7) Menthol
FUNCTIONS OF BALM OR ROB
(1) Petroleum jelly – a transuding yellowish to amber or white substance used principally as a substitute for fats in ointments as cosmetics which serves as a skin repairer and prevents skin from breaking.
(2) Linden or shear butter – it’s a protector and helps in safeguarding of the skin against harmful effects of the sun, wind and water. It also regenerates dead skin
(3) Peppermint oil – gives the hot feeling on the balm and cures deep pains like fracture or dislocations.
EQUIPMENT'S FOR THE PRODUCTION OF BALM OR ROB
(1) Stainless pot
(2) Stainless spoon
(3) Face mask
(4) Lab coat
(5) Burner
(6) Stirrer
STEPS AND PROCEDURES FOR THE PRODUCTION OF BALM OR ROB
(1) Place the dry pot on fire
(2) Put the candle or paraffin wax and allow it to melt
(3) Put paraffin or mineral oil inside the pot and stir well together
(4) Pour petroleum jelly into the bowl and stir very well.
(5) Introduce the menthol into the mixture and stir well.
(6) Pour the peppermint oil and stir.
(7) Pour the methysalate into the mixture and stir well. Add the colour to your taste.
(8) Add aromatic and bring down the mixture from the fire.
PACKAGING
(1) Get a bucket of water and place your container into it before pouring the hot balm into the container. Note the water level in the bowl should be small to allow the container have balance and cool on time.
(2) Allow the balm to cool and cover
(3) Place a brand label name of your choice
(4) Start using and selling if you want to make money from it. Note that balm or rob are essential needs in our house hold because of the weather we are experiencing right now so if you want to produce start now.
