How To Produce Laundry Soap

Production of laundry soap as the name implies, laundry soap is the type of soap that is mostly used for cleaning our laundries. It should have good foaming ability in order to clean the cloths properly. It is important to note that there are so many soaps in the market, but with the formulation given below and with good packaging, you can be sure to beat the competition.

 Equipment needed for the production of laundry soap

(1) Mixer with stirrer
(2) Casting molds
(3) Heater
(4) Cutter (knife)
(5) Shaping machine
(6) Stamping machine
(7) Hydrometer
(8) Weighing scale
(9) Measuring container
(10) Packaging materials

Note that these equipment are only required when you want to go into large scale production. For beginners, you can start producing with basic household tools and a few other cheap stuff. Chemicals needed for the production of laundry soap and quantity

(1) Caustic Soda 1kg
(2) Palm kernel oil 6 liters
(3) Soda ash 0.5kg
(4) Silicate 160 liters
(5) Sodium sulfate 160 liters
(6) Colorant to taste
(7) Water 4.5 liters
(8) Fragrance to taste
(9) Forming agent to taste

Steps And procedure of producing laundry soap

(1) Prepare the caustic soda solution by dissolving 1kg of caustic soda in 4.5 liters of water; confirm that it was a density of 1275kg/m3.
(2) Allow the solution to stand and blend for at least 3 days. Please ensure that you leave them to stand for this time or even more (the longer the better), to avoid your soap being corrosive to the users skin and cloths.
(3) Add the soda ash to the caustic soda solution, stirring vigorously until well blended. (4) Add the colorant to the solution and continue stirring
(5) Add all the palm kernel oil to the mixture and continue stirring vigorously in a clockwise direction only for some time
(6) Add the forming agent and silicate and continue stirring
(7) Add the fragrance and pour into molds and allow solidification for 24 hours

After all this steps your laundry soap is ready for sale and use.
