(8) Pour the coconut milk into the jar. Screw the lid tightly on the jar and allow the coconut milk to ferment, this can be done by placing the jar in a dark place for two days.
(9) Move the coconut milk into warm, light area for six to eight hours, during this time the coconut oil will separate from the coconut milk.
(10) Put the jar in the refrigerator for three hours to allow the oil to solidify.
(11) Scoop out the oil with a spoon and place it in a container with a lid and allow the oil to cool to a room temperature and then use the oil as you wish.
